About seventeen years ago I was given a deck of Tarot cards for a gift. I was a little put off about all the meanings of each card,and really didn’t take them too serious. But I was soon to learn that I was wrong.
One day a very good friend of mine brought a girl I had never met before over to my house. She was going through some rough times and just needed to get away from her home for a bit. Well my friend mentioned the cards and this girl begged me to read for her. I explained that I didn’t have much experience with them but that I would try. I got out the deck and had her shuffle them, then sitting there with the book open in front of me I started her layout. Then card by card I looked the meanings up in the instruction book.

As I told her the meanings of the cards, her face started to go white. When I finished I asked her if anything I had said helped her at all.Now you have to remember that I didn’t know anything about this girl or her troubles, but I had told her exactly what was going on presently, what had occured in the past year, and what could probably happen in the near future. I didn’t know what to say because I was surprised that the cards were so accurate about her.

After that I was asked a few more times to do a tarot reading, and in almost every case I was dead on. I took the time to study the meanings and I still do readings today, when asked. And every time I’m amazed at the way the cards always seem to come out with things I have no way of knowing.

And I learned a real lesson about taking such things for granted.
